December 16th (&12th): The Insanity Begins.

So, um. Well. So far I’ve failed. On the 12th—supposedly my first day of WooWriMo—I tried to write for 2.5 hours but ended up only writing 436 words. Then, on the 13th through the 15th, I didn’t write at all! In my defense, I was traveling back to Minnesota for winter break and recovering from finals.

But good news, I wrote 1,773 words today, which is  106 words past my daily word requirement! So yay for that. Of course, I still need to make up for all the time I’ve lost so far (I’m approximately 6232 words behind…)  but whatever. At least I’ve written!

’til tomorrow

Chelsea’s Plan for WooWriMo

I plan to write a song!

And hopefully other things as well.

Lauren’s Plan for WooWriMo

According to Social Psychology (an awesome Wooster class I took this semester), by just writing things down we’re more inclined to do them! Especially so when it’s a public statement. So, here we go.

Although I’m not yet certain on what I’m going to do, I am currently planning on doing the full NaNoWriMo challenge (50,000 words in a month). So, that’s 1,667 words every day of winter break. I am also planning on posting on my progress every day–which will hopefully guilt me into writing every single day. I will be continuing to add to my novel-in-progress rather than start fresh as you’re supposed to with NaNoWriMo because, well, I do as I please and someday I’d like to finish this novel!

Spring 2013 classes actually start on Monday, January 14th. However, with me packing/flying back to OH/preparing for classes on Sunday, January 13th, there is no doubt that my Winter Break will end on January 12th. For this reason, I’ll officially start and end my WooWriMo on December 12th and January 12th. Wish me good luck!
